Method
- Whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Marinate the sliced flank steak for at least 15 minutes, or up to a few hours in the refrigerator.
- Steam or blanch the broccoli florets until tender-crisp. Set aside.
- Cook the marinated beef in a skillet or wok until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the broccoli to the skillet with the beef and toss to combine. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Divide the cooked rice among meal prep containers.
- Top the rice with the beef and broccoli mixture.
- Allow to cool completely before sealing and refrigerating. Will keep for up to 4 days.
Notes
For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes or a dash of chili oil.
