Ingredients
  

Fruits
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
Flours
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
Sweetener
  • 1/4 cup sugar substitute (such as stevia or erythritol)
Leavening Agents
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts or dark chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix mashed bananas and applesauce in a large bowl.
  3. Add sweetener and vanilla, then combine.
  4. Combine dry ingredients and add to wet mixture; mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in optional nuts or chocolate chips if desired, then pour into pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, cool in pan 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
