  • 1 can refrigerated seamless crescent dough sheet (13.8 ounce)
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • Coarse sea salt or pretzel salt
  • Melted chocolate, sprinkles, or other toppings Optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the dough into long strips, about 1 inch wide.
  4. Shape each strip into a heart shape and press lightly to seal.
  5. Place the heart pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush each pretzel with the beaten egg.
  7. Sprinkle with coarse sea salt or pretzel salt.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Optional: Dip or drizzle with melted chocolate and add toppings.

Notes

For a sweeter treat, dust the pretzels with cinnamon sugar after baking.
