Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the crescent dough sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the dough into long strips, about 1 inch wide.
- Shape each strip into a heart shape and press lightly to seal.
- Place the heart pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each pretzel with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle with coarse sea salt or pretzel salt.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
- Optional: Dip or drizzle with melted chocolate and add toppings.
Notes
For a sweeter treat, dust the pretzels with cinnamon sugar after baking.
