  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
Toppings
  • Hershey's kisses, unwrapped hershey's kisses

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix dry ingredients; cream butter and sugars. Add egg, food coloring, vanilla, and almond extract. Combine with dry ingredients. Shape dough into balls, place on baking sheet, and bake for 10-12 minutes. Press Hershey's Kisses into hot cookies.
