  • 1 lb Sirloin Steak thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Bell Pepper any color, sliced
  • 0.5 Onion sliced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup Beef Broth
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos for strict keto
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Erythritol or other keto-friendly sweetener
  • 0.5 tsp Xanthan Gum optional, for thickening
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Method
 

  1. Combine beef broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and erythritol in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook steak until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  6. Pour the beef broth mixture into the skillet and simmer.
  7. If desired, whisk xanthan gum with water and add to thicken the sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Return the steak to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
