  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, breaking it apart.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli florets and stir well to combine.
  4. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to coat evenly.
  5. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until broccoli is tender yet crisp.
  6. Reduce heat to low. Pour in heavy cream and stir gently.
  7. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  8. If using, add Worcestershire sauce and red pepper flakes. Stir to incorporate.
  9. Serve hot directly from the pan.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a little cream cheese along with the heavy cream.
