Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add egg, food coloring, and vanilla; combine well.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients to form dough; chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Shape dough into balls, coat in powdered sugar, place on sheet, and bake 10-12 mins.
