  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons meringue powder
Wet ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons water adjust for desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional

Method
 

  1. Combine powdered sugar and meringue powder in a bowl.
  2. Add water and vanilla, then mix until smooth and stiff peaks form.
  3. If too thick, add water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Divide and add food coloring if desired, then transfer to piping bags.
  5. Decorate cooled cookies and let icing harden overnight.
