  • 1 lb Ground Meat (Beef, Turkey, Chicken, or Plant-Based)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 28 oz Crushed Tomatoes canned
  • 15 oz Kidney Beans, drained and rinsed canned
  • 15 oz Black Beans, drained and rinsed canned
  • 1 packet Taco Seasoning
  • Cooked Rice or Quinoa (for serving)
  • Optional Toppings: Shredded Cheese, Sour Cream, Avocado, Salsa

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground meat and onion to the skillet. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until the meat is browned and the onion is softened.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and taco seasoning.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Serve over cooked rice or quinoa. Top with your favorite toppings.

Adjust taco seasoning to your preferred spice level.
